We sourced 45 of these solid ash wood armchairs for a new Nordic-fusion café and bakery project here in Copenhagen. Around here, everyone knows their chairs, so if the woodcraft or the ergonomics are slightly off, the guests will notice immediately. I am very happy to say these chairs passed the test.
The contoured backrest is the big winner here. The curvature fits the back perfectly, meaning you get proper comfortable seating without needing to clutter the clean design with thick, heavy cushions that are a pain to clean anyway in a food and beverage environment. The grain on the ash wood is beautiful and clean, and the matte finish feels very natural to the touch—not like those cheap, plastic-feeling thick lacquers.
From a trade perspective, the joinery is very well executed. The leg-to-seat joints look seamless but are clearly built to handle commercial turnover. They are also surprisingly lightweight for solid timber, which makes it easy for the floor staff to stack them slightly or move them around when cleaning up at closing time.
Delivery took a bit of time to reach our Danish warehouse, and one box looked like it had a rough time during transit, but the chairs inside were wrapped up so heavily in protective foam that nothing was damaged. A really solid, honest piece of furniture that hits that sweet spot between clean Scandinavian aesthetics and commercial durability. Will definitely look at this model again for future office breakout room refits.
