We specified 45 of these solid ash wood armchairs for a high-end restaurant and lounge project in the West Loop, and they’ve completely transformed the space. When you’re dealing with high-traffic dining rooms, finding seating that satisfies both the design team’s aesthetic demands and the client’s longevity requirements is a massive headache. Most “sculptural” chairs look great in a rendering but break down at the joints after three months of commercial traffic.
The frame integration on this chair is incredibly solid. The ash wood frame has a great density to it, and the walnut finish is consistently deep across the entire batch—no weird patchy spots or mismatched tones between the legs and the backrest support. The sculptural lines give it an expensive, mid-century architectural profile that makes it look like a custom $1,200 piece, but the structural integrity is fully there. Thankfully, the RST project team intervened immediately overnight, correcting the manifest and tracking the shipment until it safely reached our site.
