We just finish the installation of 40 of these armchairs for a new bistro project in the West End. I have to say, the solid ash wood is very impressive, the grain is much more beautiful in person than in the photos online. We chose the Walnut finish and it has a very deep, rich tone that makes the restaurant feel very high-end immediately.
The “wrap-around” backrest is the best part, very ergonomic and comfortable for our guests who stay for long dinner service. Even though the chair looks very light and minimalist, it is actually very sturdy—one of my installers is a big guy and he sat in it to test and it didn’t creak or move at all. The leatherette on the seat is also good quality, feels soft but you can tell it will be easy to wipe down after a busy shift. My only complaint is the delivery truck was late by two hours and didn’t have a lift gate, so we had to help unload the crates by hand. But the chairs themselves are perfect. I’m already thinking about ordering the black oak version for our next office lounge project.
