I just finished installing 16 of these high-back chairs for a private dining room project in a luxury hotel here and I have to say the vermilion red is very bold—exactly like the photos but even better in person. I was worried the lacquer might be too shiny or “plastic” looking but it has a very rich, deep finish that feels very high-end. The ash wood grain still shows through slightly under the paint which I love because it proves its real solid wood.
The high-back design is very dramatic and gives great support, though the chairs are a bit heavier than I expected (not a bad thing for commercial use, they wont tip over!). One small thing—the delivery driver left the pallet at the side entrance instead of the loading bay, so we had to move them ourselves, and there was a lot of dust on the plastic wrapping. But once we wiped them down, they were perfect. No assembly needed is a life saver for my timeline. Definitely a “statement” piece if you want to break the boring neutral colors usually found in hotels.
